Celine oversized sunglasses vs Cos x Linda Farrow- I make no secret of my love of Cos for basics that round out a closet and achieve that high/low style friction that I’m continually looking for. A great example is the Cos collab with Linda Farrow. I got lucky and also snagged the Navy during a restock. At time of writing, these were still in stock but they won’t last long.
DIOR Diorshow mascara vs Maybelline Sky High Mascara- Sure, Diorshow has a cult following, but I’m calling the Sky High a Same Same.
Sour cream vs Fage 0% Greek Yogurt- Trying to hit your protein macros? Trade sour cream for Fage greek yogurt. Extra protein? Yes please. 1g protein vs 18g protein
Aesop room spray vs Febreze Oud Wood- Smelly dogs are no match for my Febreeze. Air wood is an elevated fragrance that smells far more luxe than its $4 price tag.
Cashmere socks vs J crew Cashmere- I’ve written about these before, but these socks saved me this winter. I could never justify paying for expensive cashmere socks. I got every color of the J crew sock during a sale for a great price. Several reviews state these develop holes, but I was willing to take the risk at the price point. I washed mine on a delicate cycle and hung to dry with no issues. Winter is (almost?) over, but I still think it’s a good time to buy a pair for summer travel. Stashing a pair of cashmere socks in your carry on for the plane or chilly hotel rooms is a pro travel must. So cozy. $135 vs $41 (with code ADDTOBAG)
Skyn eye gels vs Maree eye gel patches - Eye gels patches are a lifesaver for me, but I’m not willing to pay crazy prices for virtually the same ingredients. These Tik Tok famous eye patches are super hydrating, giving me a boost on mornings I'm looking a little dehydrated.
Coconut Sugar vs Swerve- When I started watching my carb intake, I also took a closer look at the sneaky ways sugar was getting into my “healthy” foods. It was shocking. I now make my own sweet treats so that I know what I’m putting into my body. I can not tell the difference when using Swerve. Keeping my blood sugar stable while also having dessert = one happy camper.
Hermes blanket vs William Sonoma Cashmere & Wool throw blanket- I was given the most beautiful Hermes Cashmere Blanket. I loved it dearly but knew I had to return. My dogs can be weapons of mass destruction and sadly, that blanket was too precious for my home. I still wanted a luxe cashmere blanket for chilly nights by the fire. I found this WS cashmere/wool blanket for myself and have since given it as a gift on several occasions. Is it Hermes? No. But will I worry about it being destroyed? Not as much.
Reese’s PB cups vs 3 ingredient, make at home Keto friendly PB cups I NEED a little chocolate pretty much every day. I keep a stash in my refrigerator so that I always have a healthy-ish sweets option.
Alexander McQueen vs M Gemi platform- I have a strong preference for luxury without labels. I enjoy the satisfaction of a well made item without advertising the designer. If you know you know, right? While I don’t foresee the white trainer going anywhere for now, I do think they’ll take a back seat for a minute to loafers. However, a platform sneaker can tone a black suit down or carry a different message when paired with one of the many skirt silhouettes showing up right now. Plus, it’s a comfortable & stylish solution for exploring this summer. I made sure to break mine in with a few daily wears, but afterwards, I pulled them from regular rotation, keeping them pristine for elevated looks and travel.
