My diligent sunscreen application of late has resulted in a less than stellar looking set of pores. My face was congested in a way that not even liberal amounts of tretinoin could combat. Then I remembered a plan that’s worked like magic in the past. A simple, yet effective, daily peel. I pilfered through my medicine cabinet to see what I had on hand.
I’ve used this inexpensive peel in the past with good results, but I had a sample box of Dr. Gross that I’d been holding onto for future use. It worked so well just after one use that I went all in & immediately purchased a set. I didn’t have any dryness or peeling, thanks in part to the two step process which moisturizes after it exfoliates. It is on the pricier side for a daily peel but worth it in my opinion. It also comes in a 5 pack option for $20 if you want to give it a trial run.
And as always, options!
Four more at various price points.
The Ordinary Peeling Solution, $10: The price is pretty hard to beat here. It’s messier than a peel pad, but if you can stand the 10mins it takes to cure, it’s a solid option to add in a skin care plan. (Use once a week at most.)
M-61 Power Peel, $68 for 30pads: Not as strong as Dr. Gross or the next peel. I would recommend this one for sensitive skin types.
IS Clinical, $88 for 30pads: For the IS Clinical superfans out there (and there are many) combining the peel with this is a guarantee for radiant skin.
Alastin skin polish, $62: I’ve been on the Alastin bandwagon lately, switching my entire product line over to the brand my dermatologist swears by. And while I haven’t tried this product yet, it gets rave reviews.
