Hi there!Â
Welcome back to A for Almonds, a newsletter for nuts like me. Â
Winter is coming. Truthfully, winter has already arrived in the Northeast.Â
When the leaves abandon the trees and the mornings go from brisk to downright cold, there’s always a transition in my house from autumn vibes to full on cozy. When the snow starts falling outside, I want to watch it wrapped in warmth.Â
Therefore, this week, I’m thinking about blankets. I wanted to share five of my favorites and why I think they all are winners.Â
Land’s End herringbone pattern bed blanket- True confession- I’ve been scoring big with Land’s End bedding for years. The linen bed collection is the best of any I’ve tried.  Lately, I’ve been scouting the bedding selection at Land’s End when it’s time to change up bedding for a different season. These herringbone blankets were a recent purchase, and I bought them in every color. They look great as a bed cover (over a duvet) or tucked at the end of a bed when extra warmth is needed on a very cold night. Â
Hotel Collection cotton blanket- Sometimes all you need is the thinnest of blankets, even in winter and especially if you run hot when sleeping. I keep multiples of this blanket on hand. It’s a great addition in the summer months when a duvet isn’t necessary, but I also like to layer it in the winter for the lightest additional coverage.
Pendleton Camp Blanket- I consider this an heirloom blanket that can be passed down through the family. The designs are beautiful and look great as a bed cover. They provide exceptional warmth.Â
Cultiver Quilted Bedcover- Another light bedcover, but it offers a surprisingly substantial layer of warmth. The quilting gives it an interesting touch and I I like to pair it with the Land’s End herringbone blanket for a nice pattern combo.Â
William Sonoma Cashmere and Wool Equestrian Blanket- The most luxe blanket on the list, the one works when style + warmth are equally important. The throw version on this blanket makes an excellent gift. Monogram it to make it even more chic.Â
That’s all for this week. Stay warm (and cozy) out there!
xo,
A
